In order to strengthen Shimano Fishing brands position on the market of South-Eastern Europe we would like to get in contact with Candidates for the newly created role of:
Marketing Officer Fishing Tackle
(office in Brežice, Slovenia)
THE CHALLENGE
The local Shimano Sales Team in the South-Eastern Europe is looking for a passionate angler and marketer at the same time to join them as Marketing Specialist in the Fishing division. In this role, you will use, and build on, your holistic understanding of consumer marketing through exposure to both traditional and new marketing disciplines. It is going to be your primary responsibility to build consumer engagement, coordinating all aspects of marketing with the goal to increase the attraction and connection to the Shimano brand and industry leading products.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- prepare annual brand and product plans (sales & promotion) based on sales goals and focus areas;
- coordinate planning and execution of PR/marketing/SM activities based on plans and available promotional budget;
- take care of product coordination with Shimano HQ/global brand management (assortment, pricing, timing of introduction, coordination of training) and coordinate the timely ordering of samples for both sales and marketing purposes;
- take care of regular and timely communication with Sales Team with regard to sales actions, pricing, margin analysis, promotion & delivery / stock situation;
- make and update proposals for shelf-plans and coordinate implementation with Sales Team;
- timely prepare and supply all necessary information needed for organization of annual sales shows, website and printed catalogues;
- monitor and evaluate process and results of product launches and actions and strive for continuous improvement;
- pro-actively collect local market information (competition, figures) for relevant product categories through dealer/business partner visits, exhibitions and joining vendor presentations.
OUR REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- minimum of 2 years of experience in online and offline marketing, social media running and management;
- real enthusiasm and passion for angling, proven fishing skills and knowledge in the subject matter;
- ability to combine initiative and creativity with cooperation within organization (understanding of the processes etc.);
- fluent usage of English (B2 level); Romanian or Bulgarian would be of advantage;
- exceptional communicator, team-worker with well-developed planning and organizing skills;
- proficiency with MS Office (xls, ppt, word, outlook), knowledge of graphical/video editing software;
- ‘B’ driving license and readiness for occasional travelling (also abroad).
